Stitch (known off our mats as Ashleigh) has a background in teaching learners from kindergarten through adulthood. She holds an MAT in Secondary Mathematics and an MS in Statistics, and has a particular interest in multisensory teaching methods that support all learners, especially those who are neurodivergent or struggling. After taking Thrive’s three-hour self-defense class in 2023, she joined the Storm team because she found the learning environment so welcoming and safe. Although this lifelong book nerd never expected to consider herself an athlete, she is now proudly working toward her third stripe as a white belt in BJJ. All three of her children are also involved at Thrive—her oldest spearheaded the creation of the Teen Titans branch of the Storm team.
